We believe it is essential for every man to be intentional in his pursuit of knowing God and what He desires. We seek to encourage each man to prioritize that relationship knowing it has a ripple effect that impacts all other relationships (families, church, and the world). Therefore, we ask older men to look for ways to come alongside younger men to disciple them, to prepare them to teach others, and ultimately to perpetuate His memory through all generations, so that the nations will praise His name forever (see Psalm 45:17).
There are three principles at the heart of Men’s Ministry at Abingdon Bible that drive everything we do.
1) Discipleship - "We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ. For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me." (Colossians 1:28,29)
2) Duplication - "And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also." (2 Timothy 2:2)
3) Diversity - "Teach older men to be temperate, worthy of all respect, self controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance…similarly, encourage the younger men to be self controlled. In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness..." (Titus 2:2,6,7).

Due to the local spike in Covid cases in late December - early January, and due to the class teacher's health crisis in late January - early February, the class has had to switch to an email format finishing up in late February - early March.

Study guide notes will be mailed out to the class for each remaining chapter of the book. And men will be given approx. 1.5 to 2 weeks to complete studying through those sections. We pray the content will still be used of God to sharpen your understand of Philippians, even despite the less-than-ideal class format.

Please contact the church office if you have any questions.
